![]() | It is our mission to provide a statewide place for all LDS family educators (or home schoolers) to find support, state specific information, tools for providing an education, calendar of events, and much more. Please join us in making the State of Arizona a place for family educators to feel part of a fantastic group of hard-working parents who value their children's education, making nameless sacrifices to bring about "the perfecting of the saints" and teaching their children "every needful thing." |

Do to economic hardship, we will be loosing our hosting in August. We have never had much by way of donations and everything has been up to me to keep this work going. I do feel that it was my work to do and so always tried to make this website available to everyone. Unfortunately, I can no longer do so.
Our site at azldshsa.Ning.com will continue to remain online. It is a membership only network for those living in AZ who homeschool or are thinking about homeschooling. We have over 100 members at this point in time. Hope to see you there!
When I first started on this journey to build a statewide home school community, I was a bit naïve as to what that would entail. Over the past 3 years, I have come to believe that the need for a statewide support system is more necessary than ever. We have more and more families choosing home education every day.
What We Hope to Achieve

A very important proposition is coming up this year - Proposition 102 - which simply states:
“Only a union of one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as amarriage in this state.”
We are looking for home schooling parents who would like to contribute by writing articles about their home schooling experiences. We have topics of all sorts available, including;

One area I am often asked about is Physical Education for my children. The Athletes In Training program is a very nice and organized program that has sites around the Phoenix Metro area. They have both private and public sessions.

I am always excited when I find quick and easy ways to keep track of things my children are working on. I found these nice, one-page checksheets for Scouting and Personal Progress. I was able to print these off and keep them with my home schooling notebook (the one with all the notes, lesson plans, and curriculum planning). The Internet is such a wonderful place for finding the things that someone else has put the effort into and then put it out there for others to benefit from their talents.
